Fees and frequency
Initial consultations cost £65. Each subsequent session costs £50.
Typically 6 initial consecutive appointments are advised, however, this does vary dependent on condition and person. A review takes place at each session, looking at how you are responding and what additional treatments might also support you.
If you are looking for support with fertility, both via assisted methods or natural conception, working with you throughout 3 cycles prior to then providing support whilst you are actively trying to conceive is the ideal recommendation.
What to expect during your session
During your initial consultation, a full medical history together with in depth details of your key priorities will be taken. Following this, acupuncture together with adjunctive therapies will form a relaxing treatment. Once the needles are places, you will then relax with them in situ for 20 minutes. You can expect this initial appointment to last about 90 minutes.
All subsequent sessions will involve a follow up to establish any changes and developments, followed by an acupuncture session, lasting 55 minutes.
An initial treatment plan of 6 sessions is usually recommended, however, this is always dependant upon individual needs and will be discussed at each session.
What to expect after acupuncture treatment
Acupuncture makes most people feel very relaxed following treatment. It is a good idea to have a fairly relaxed day planned following your treatment.
Some people can feel drowsy for a short time immediately after treatment and sometimes a small bruise can appear at the site of a needle insertion. A full aftercare information sheet is provided upon booking and this is also gone through during initial consultations.
